HOLA
About HOLA
HOLA is a 501c(3) arts service and advocacy organization founded in 1975 by a core group of Latino actors working in New York to address the inequities created by the casting system that underemployed Hispanic actors and relegated Latino characters to negative stereotypes. HOLA is dedicated to expanding the presence of Latin/Hispanic artists in entertainment and media through their development, cultivation, education, empowerment, and recognition. For almost 50 years, HOLA has been a crucial resource to the New York Latin artistic community, providing educational programs, networking opportunities, and hosting a Hispanic talent database available to casting directors and agents in addition to distributing casting notices to members.
A New Chapter for HOLA
As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, HOLA is proud to announce its evolution from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors to the Hispanic Organization of Latin Artists.
This change reflects who we have become — a broader, more inclusive community of creatives who perform, write, direct, design, compose, and bring stories to life on stage, on screen, and beyond.
While our name is expanding, our mission remains steadfast: to elevate and empower Latin and Hispanic voices across the performing arts, entertainment, and media. For half a century, HOLA has been a home for artists, a bridge for opportunity, and a champion for visibility and equity.
As we step into the next fifty years, we reaffirm our commitment to celebrating and supporting all Latin artists whose work continues to shape culture and inspire generations.
