HOLA summons the theater community to join the jury in charge of evaluating productions in New York that highlight Latino talent.

The Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA) awards gala is a long-standing tradition within the New York Hispanic theater circuit. Since 1999, the HOLA Awards has fulfilled its mission of recognizing the best of Hispanic talent in various fields of expression, be it theater, TV, cinema and digital media.

As part of a revitalization effort with HOLA’s current executive team and the Board of Directors, HOLA is renewing its committees and its staff of collaborators. It is with this spirit of change that HOLA requests the participation of the artistic community to form an evaluation jury of works produced in New York made up of Latino artists.

Each member of the HOLA Awards jury is committed to attending all the productions submitted for the jury selection that are presented in New York City and issuing an assessment of these works. Subsequently, a vote is taken to designate the nominees and winners of the award.

This is a unique opportunity to boost the New York theater scene and become an agent of change in this environment that is a source of pride for the entire Hispanic and Latino community in the city.

We are currently seeking members for the HOLA Award jury for the 2023-2024 season. It is not a requirement to be a member of HOLA, although it is crucial to have a great knowledge of theatrical art and especially Hispanic theater in New York and the world.
