An Acting & Auditioning Master Class

This free Online Acting Class –hosted by the Tom Todoroff Studio in collaboration with HOLA & RevLatina– gives you first-hand experience of the way Tom Todoroff coaches and directs actors. It’s a sample of the ongoing training they offer live, online, every week on Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays in The Weekly Workshop.

In this class, you’ll learn about a clear, practical set of tools for text analysis and rehearsal that will allow you to feel relaxed, grounded, and confident for every performance! This is also an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the film, TV, and theater industry.

Instruction will be done by way of demonstration. Attendees may volunteer to perform a 1-2 minute monologue and receive personalized coaching in front of the group! Tom will coach several actors on their prepared pieces to demonstrate a technique that will ignite your imagination and help you craft the most dynamic, compelling performance possible!

Attendees are also welcome to observe only. Tom will answer questions from the group, as time allows, at the end.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

If you would like to work with Tom 1:1 during the master class, you’ll be asked to submit the following ahead of time:

• Title and Author of your 1-2 minute monologue
• Headshot and Actor Resume

In the interest of time and fairness, names will be pulled from a ‘hat’ to determine who will perform during the class – Tom will work with as many actors as time allows!  If you request to perform, please be off-book and ready to go if called upon!

General Information and Requirements:

• Class will be held in English Language.
• Class will be a virtual format via Zoom. All guests except the speakers shall be muted upon entrance.
• Recording of this class is prohibited.
• Please click on the meeting link at least 5 minutes early to take care of any technical issues that may happen. We will not be able to provide technical support during the masterclass.
• Make sure you connect from a quiet room/area, avoid any distractions while the class is in session.
• Be camera-ready. Cameras are required to stay ON for the full duration of the class in order to participate.
• Please DO NOT register if you cannot be present for the entire class.
