How to Succeed in Showbiz By really REALLY trying – HOLA Workshop
Join teacher and coach Eli Bosnick for a comprehensive 8-session workshop delving into the fundamentals of the acting industry. This workshop is tailored for professional Latinx and Hispanic actors, aiming to elevate their understanding of the industry and enhance their skills to secure roles.

Workshop Outline:
The goal of this 8 class workshop is to build your “book” as an auditioning actor. Each class will be split between a group discussion (listed below) and work on the pieces in your book. Students will be expected to prepare material for and perform material in class.
Class 1: Intro/Overview
- Introduction to the Traditional vs. Interrogative Method of Acting Work
Class 2: Watching Art Like An Artist/Imagination Empathy
- Dive into the intricacies of Watching Art
- Enhance skills in Imagination and Empathy
Class 3: Headshots/Resumes & Who I need to be In front of
- Review and discuss Headshots/Resumes
- Explore the significance of being in front of the right people
Class 4: Auditions/The Scrappy List
- Unpack the dynamics of Auditions
- Introduce The Scrappy List
Class 5: Coming in with Copy/Cold Reading
- Focus on preparedness with copy
- Master the art of Cold Reading
Class 6: Agent Manager Meetings
- Explore the dynamics of Agent and Manager meetings
- Guest Casting Director/Agent (*dependent on guest availability)
Class 7: Commercial Copy
- In-depth exploration of Commercial Copy
- Time Prepped Copy
Class 8: Last Day
- Final day reflections and insights

Registration process:
General Information and Requirements:
- HOLA Workshop: How to Succeed in Showbiz By really REALLY trying.
- Dates of the workshop: Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 2 to May 28, 2024.
- Time: 7 PM – 9 PM
- In-person class.
- Place: HOLA Office/Studio
- Class will be held in English Language.
- Maximum number of participants: 20.
- Duration: Each class will last 2 hours.
- You are required to be present during all sessions. Do not register if you cannot be present for the entire workshop.
- There will be pictures taken from the HOLA team during class. By attending this class you consent to and authorize the use and reproduction by HOLA of any and all photography and/or videography that will be taken during the event for any purpose, and without compensation. All digital image and/or video files will be wholly owned by HOLA, who reserves the right to use these images and/or video for publication via HOLA’s website, social media platforms, news releases, and in other communications related to the mission of HOLA and its educational program.

- This opportunity is subject to limited availability. We ask that you register only if you can attend the entire workshop.
- In the event that you need to cancel your reservation, we kindly ask for your prompt notification with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice before the start of the first class. Please send an email to inform us of your cancellation at education@holaofficial.org.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the workshop start date will not be eligible for a refund.
