La Voz de Shakespeare

LA VOZ DE SHAKESPEARE- an exploration of Shakespeare’s text through our linguistic identity.

In this master class participants will explore how their own accent/linguistic identity –their prosody— inflection, rhythm may help them connect more viscerally to the sense and meaning of the text.

  • How we can explore Shakespeare in a bilingual way. (Spanish/ English or Spanglish).
  • Find a greater cultural and visceral connection to the text
  • Part two: If time allows, we will explore how we linguistically transform from one’s idiolect/ accent to another using the text—finding greater linguistic clarity.

“Shakespeare es para todos –Shakespeare is for all”

Register ahead of time – limited space.

Participants will work on a 2-minute piece of text of their choice (15-16 lines of text ) memorized or partly memorized.
