As we celebrate 50 years of HOLA, we want to take a heartfelt moment to thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you just joined us or have been with us for years, your presence matters deeply.
Back in 2019, I joined a small group of passionate members determined to revive HOLA from what felt like its final chapter. It wasn’t easy, but we knew this organization was too important to let go. Alongside an incredible team—Mónica, Phoenix, Ricardo, Paul, the HOLA Board and Advisory Board, and so many dedicated supporters and volunteers—we’ve been rebuilding HOLA into a vibrant home for Latin and Hispanic artists.
This anniversary invites us to look ahead and also to look back. We want to honor the legacy of Manny Alfaro and all the visionary leaders who came before us. Their work laid the foundation for everything we do today, and we are proud to carry it forward with new strength, new purpose, and a growing community.
But the work is far from done.
Latin and Hispanic artists remain underrepresented, and nonprofit funding is more challenging to secure every year. Your involvement is more critical than ever. That’s why we’re launching a referral initiative to expand our familia.
