Bio

Pablo Andrade is an award-winning New York-based actor, director, producer, and teaching artist. He holds positions as the Artistic/Executive Director of the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors, Artistic Director of Corezon theater company, Founder of La Guía Cultural, and faculty member at NYU Tisch. With 20 years of experience in professional theater, he has collaborated with esteemed companies such as Repertorio Español, GALA Hispanic Theater, Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, Teatro Círculo, Russian Arts Theater, INTAR, Teatro Itinerante de Venezuela, among others.

As a director, Andrade has benefited from mentorship by Tony Award recipients Jack Hofsiss and Thomas Kail. He has directed over 20 productions, earning acclaim and numerous awards such as ATI, Fuerza, and HOLA Awards.

In his acting career, Andrade has delivered captivating performances in leading roles in numerous plays and films, including the New York Times Critics’ Pick production of Mario Vargas Llosa’s “Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter,” adapted by Caridad Svich and directed by José Zayas.

As an educator, Andrade has trained actors in the US, Latin America, and Europe, collaborating with institutions like NYU, HB Studio, Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and the National Film, Television, and Theatre School of Lodz in Poland.

Pablo Andrade is a proud alumnus of HB Studio and The Hagen Institute, as well as the Cultural Visitor Program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Among his awards are the ATI Awards for Best Director Monologue (2020) and Breakthrough Director (2018), HOLA Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Directing (2017) and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor (2014), Fuerza Award for Best Director (2017), and Latin ACE Award for Best Actor Drama (2015).
